"20 French Design Icons" travelling to Singapore
For the first time, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) is partnering Alliance Française de Singapour, with support from the Embassy of France, to bring this special travelling exhibition from 2 March – 20 April 2011 at Lim Hak Tai Gallery (NAFA) and from 2 - 29 March at Société Générale Private Banking Gallery at Alliance Française de Singapour.
It will showcase the most iconic and greatest of French product design in the past 15 years. From cars, furniture to everyday objects such as the ballpoint pen ; the universality and staying power of good design that has evolved into distinguished household and luxury brand names today, are celebrated through the works of Philip Stark (Citrus Squeezer Juicy Salif ,1990), Martin Szekely (Perrier Glass,1996 ), André Lefebvre & Flaminio Bertoni (Citroen DS-19, 1955) and Louis & Georges Vuitton (Malle Vuitton Wardrobe, 1875).
