Last December, the fourth edition of Rendezvous with French Cinema gathered 6,000 spectators for 16 films and 30 projections. Thanks to the quality of the line-up and high participation rate which doubled in one year, the 4th Rendezvous with French Cinema was a success.
The box office’s hits such as “Serial (bad) weddings” reached a diversified audience (students, Francophiles, etc.). The 4th Rendezvous with French Cinema’s guest of honour was French actress Juliette Binoche, who was present at the screening of her movie “Clouds of Sils Maria”. Philippe de Chauveron and Medi Sadoun attended the screening of “Qu’est-ce qu’on a fait au bon dieu?, which was a huge success in France with more than 12 million viewers. Audrey Dana was also present at the festival for the screening of her movie, “French Women”.
6,000 spectators participated in the festival. This is a record number in the history of the Rendezvous with French Cinema. The French Embassy and the organizers are hoping to maintain this level of activity in years to come.
