A Beethoven week-end with French violinist Renaud Capuçon
French violin virtuoso Renaud Capuçon will appear in an all-Beethoven Weekend featuring a Singapore Symphony Orchestra gala concert at the Esplanade on February 26, as well as the complete Beethoven violin sonatas over three evenings at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory Concert Hall from February 27 to March 1.
With the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, he will play Beethoven’s Violin Concerto, an exquisite and virtuosic showpiece long considered one of the greatest written for the repertoire.
Joined by French pianist Frank Braley, Renaud Capuçon will perform the complete cycle of Beethoven’s violin sonatas over three evenings at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory Concert Hall. From the beauty of the charming Spring sonata, to the trailblazing virtuosity of the Kreutzer sonata, Beethoven’s ten sonatas stand at the pinnacle of music written for violin and piano.
The recitals are jointly presented by the Singapore Symphony Orchestra and the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music.
26 February at Esplanade Concert Hall at 7.30 pm
27 February - 1 March at Yong Siew Toh Conservatory Concert Hall at 8 pm.
