Christophe Girard, Deputy Mayor of Paris, in Singapore for the Digital Nights
Mr. Christophe Girard, deputy Mayor of Paris, in charge of culture and creator of the "Nuit Blanche" in Paris, was in Singapore last Friday 17 september for Asia’s first Nuit Blanche, the Digital Nights.

His visit began at the Singapore Art Museum, with His Excellency Olivier Caron, Ambassador of France to Singapore, Ms. Sim Wan Hui, Deputy Director of the Singapore Art Museum (SAM), Ms. Jane Ittogi, Chairman, SAM, Mr. Joshua Lau, Manager, International Relations, Corporate Communications Division, Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts (MICA), Mr. Pierre Perrett, director of Zomedia and producer of the Digital Nights, Mr. Frédéric Chambon, artistic director of the Digital Nights, Mr. Marc Piton, Cultural Counsellor and Mr. Jean-François Danis, Cultural Attaché at the French Embassy. Mr. Christophe Girard was introduced to the installations of Miguel Chevalier, Bertrand Planes, the group Visual System and Lab[au].

On Saturday evening, Mr. Christophe Girard went to view the productions installed on Orchard Road, at Tang (Bertrand Planes and the MU group), Paragon (Charles Lim & Zulkife Mahmod), Ngee Ann (Tom Carr), Mandarin Gallery (Visual System) as well as Sculpture Square (MIRALab). The artists who were present for this first Digital Nights week-end, were all greeted by him.
The installations of the Digital Nights will be visible until 26 September.
