’Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky’ out in cinemas on 22 April 2010

French director Jan Kounen was in Singapore on Tuesday, 23 March 2010 to present his new film, "Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky", which will be out in cinemas on 22 April.

Synopsis

Paris, 1913, Coco Chanel is totally devoted to her work and lives a great love story with the wealthy Boy Capel.

At the theatre of Champs-Élysées, Igor Stravinsky presents ’le Sacre du Printemps’. Coco is enthralled. However, the piece, judged as anticonformist, is jeered by a room on the verge of an uproar.

7 years later, Coco, bestowed with success, is devastated by the death of Boy. Igor, seeking refuge in Paris following the Russian revolution, becomes acquainted with her. The meeting is electric.

Coco proposes to Igor to live in her villa à Garches, so that he could work. Igor settles in there, with his children and his wife.

This marks the start of a passionate liaison between the two creators...
