Exceptional furniture and decorative arts of the 21st century
The decorative arts are marked by French characteristics. Having been involved in their promotion through the AD interiors event, which highlights the talent of renown interior architects and has been organized for the fifth year this September, AD magazine hopes today to feature the work of exceptional furniture designers. The AD Collections exhibition is dedicated to items and furniture of high craftsmanship made with high quality materials and in small quantities. The event will be held from 26 March to 5 April 2015 in the premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development. Be it craftsmen, decorators or even designers working for the main luxury houses, the 50 talents selected by the editorial board each present three items which are new and significant to their realm. Thus, 150 creations are available for visitors to discover in a stage set designed by Studio Adrien Gardère. An exhibition was held with the support of Neuflize OBC bank.
The exhibition will be held in the Quai d’Orsay. The French Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Development, Laurent Fabius, agreed to undertake this initiative from Ad and the Condé Nast group as it is congruent with French cultural policy. This exhibition will reflect the dynamism and expertise of French craftsmen, which serve to remind that French culture lies at the heart of France’s attractiveness.
