Fête de la musique is back once again this year on 23 June 2012 at Roberson Quay, the heart of Singapore’s entertainment circuit. Organised by the Alliance Française de Singapour, this year’s edition will include Lila & Beatrice, from Tahiti Dance & Fitness, Latin Affairs Band, comprising of musicians from Cuba, Colombia and Spain, French Caribbean Jazz singer, composer and songwriter based in Singapore, Andayoma accompanied by Singaporean Bevlyn Khoo. And of course not forgetting the group "Lounge and Dance" which comprises of Alliance Française teachers and Aziz, the Theatre Manager from Alliance Française who will also be spinning their talents.
This year, two air tickets to Bali a well as other attractive prizes are up for grabs in a lucky draw organized for all participants holding the complimentary passes.
Created in France in 1982, Fête de la Musique is celebrated in more than 250 towns over five continents. It traces its roots back to the tradition of the summer solstice, a pagan night recalling the ancient tradition of St. John’s feast.
