“The Singapore Airshow is the leading aviation event in South-East Asia. This year, France is the feature country, an accolade which few countries are eligible for. I am particularly proud to help boost the influence of French industry by bringing a delegation of more than sixty small, medium and intermediate-sized enterprises” Marwan Lahoud, Chairman of GIFAS stated.
The fact that the French aerospace industry is so well represented is evidence of the strong ties between Singapore and France. More than 2,000 employees work for subsidiaries of French aerospace companies in the country. Singapore has established itself as the leading aerospace maintenance and repair centre in Asia and a key industrial hub. The French aerospace industry is a key partner, and both countries have innovation as their primary motivation.
