French Singapore Innovation Day, a successful first edition !
The first French Singapore Innovation Day, on November 15th and 16th 2010, gathered more than 120 attendants at the Traders Hotel in Singapore. The event is designed to promote and sustain the cooperation between French innovative start-ups and the Singapore business crowd.
Jointly organized by the French Trade Commission-UBIFRANCE, the Infocomm Development Authority (IDA)and the Infocomm Investments Pte Ltd (IIPL), the event aims to become the leading rendezvous of innovative start-ups with venture capitalists and innovators in the City-State.
On Monday the 15th, a conference session was offered to more than 70 French and Singaporean companies. In the morning, various keynotes were delivered by top-level professionals from both the official and entrepreneur sides. After lunch, a dozen of visiting French companies had the opportunity to introduce their innovations and strategies for the Singapore and APAC markets to an attendance rich of several investors and venture capitalists. The session was closed by a relaxed cocktail that allowed all attendees to network and discuss further the day’s topics.
On the next day, more than 45 one-to-one meetings have been arranged for the visiting French companieswho could discuss with new potential local business partners and investors. The event was concluded with a group visit to major innovation centers & showrooms of leading Singaporean companies and institutions.
