Great success for Two Singapore Monodramas at the National Museum Theatre Gallery
Created for the Singapore Festival in France, “Two Singapore Monodramas” have presented the first performance ever of Singlish drama in French. It consists in dramatized readings of two Singapore seminal monodramas which have been staged many times, in Singapore as well as abroad, since they were created in 1985: Emily of Emerald Hill by Stella Kon and The Coffin is Too Big for the Hole by Kuo Pao Kun.
A post performance show has allowed the audience to discuss about the project and the birth of Singapore theatre with the cast, Stella Kon and Robert Yeo.
Directed and presented by Marc Goldberg, with Brigitte Damiens and Stephen Szekely.
