Launching of Voilah ! 2015 Festival in Singapore

The festival Voilah!, which will present over two months the best of French creativity and innovation in culture, science and gastronomy, was launched on Monday 4 by Singapore’s Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Lawrence Wong, and Ambassador of France to Singapore, Mr Benjamin Dubertret at the newly renovated Fort Canning Arts Centre, which will be home to Singapore Pinacothèque de Paris.

Speaking at the launch, Mr Benjamin Dubertret said, “The sustained and multi-faceted relationship between Singapore and France over the past 50 years has allowed us to develop an appreciation of the different aspects of our communities, and foster firm collaborations between the two countries. We also recognise Singapore as a critical gateway to showcase French culture and innovation to the rest of Asia. Continuing in that spirit, Voilah! 2015 will bring people together, cross boundaries, and allow us to contribute to the cultural vibrancy here.”

More than 40 events are on the festival’s program. To know more, go to: http://voilah.sg/
