The Singapore Business Federation (SBF) and the Investment Promotion Agency for the Lille Region have hosted a seminar at the Embassy of France in Singapore: LILLE REGION, the Smart Place to do Business in Europe.
The Seminar provided to Singaporean companies with key insights on the successful French model of innovation and business, with a focus on the Lille Region in Northern France. Thanks to a very favourable Research tax credit, more than 300 foreign investments in R&D have been created since 2001. The speakers showcased a cost competitive place for setting up in France like Euratechnologies, a successful cluster and Business Park dedicated to e-business and ICT activities. Tata Communications, the leading global provider of a new world of communications based in Singapore, has decided to strengthen its presence in the Lille region in 2011 to install, manage and maintain a public Telepresence facility.
Singapore is the first investor from ASEAN in France. 40 Singaporean companies have office in France such as The Ascott – Capitaland Group or ST Engineering.
