Meet with the French vineyards talents in Singapore

Following their full success of last year, tastings and presentations of French wines will be held in Asia to buyers, contractors, distributors and agents. These meetings will take place this time in 4 cities: Singapore, Taipei, Tokyo and Osaka, from May 16th to 22nd, 2014. A unique opportunity for professionals to discover and rediscover the diversity of French wines in renowned hotels.

Organized by UBIFRANCE in partnership with the CCI (Chambers of Commerce and Industry) from Aquitaine & Midi-Pyrénées and with Sud de France (Languedoc Roussillon region), the operation aims at facilitating business opportunities between French businesses and local professionals in the sector. Singapore, Taiwan and Japan were not selected by chance. Indeed, they represent 50% of the volume of French wines exported to Asia in 2013. Between 2009 and 2012, the French wine exports increased by 70% in these three markets (by value).

Up to 35 French wine and spirits professionals will participate in these meetings, demonstrating their determination to appeal to Asian consumers. They are coming from the wine regions of Bordeaux, South West France (in French Sud-Ouest), Languedoc, Roussillon, Rhône, Loire, Champagne, etc.

The first stop of this a three-country business trip will be in SINGAPORE, starting their discovery of the local market by visiting outlets (wine shops, retailers, etc.).

The next day, Friday, 16th May, 2014, will be devoted to an introduction to the Singapore wine market for the benefit of the French companies. As for the afternoon, it will highlight French wine through a wine tasting session organized for the main Singaporean players. The session will take place at the Raffles Hotel, from 1pm to 6pm.

Invitation and list of the 21 French participants are available upon request from the UBIFRANCE Office in Singapore.
