Presence of the Ambassador at an Inter-religious organization (IRO) event

At the invitation of the Inter-religious organization (IRO), which is a non-profit organization founded in 1949 to promote interfaith dialogue in Singapore, Ambassador Benjamin Dubertret attended a joint prayer undertaken by representatives of the ten religions from the IRO Council on Monday, 19 January. The prayer session paid tribute to the victims of the recent attacks in France, Australia and Pakistan and of the disasters which took place in Indonesia and in Malaysia, in the presence of the ambassadors of these countries.
Ms Low Yen Ling, Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Family and Social Development and the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth was the ceremony’s guest of honour.
