Presentation of the FIVE programme by the French Embassy

Capitalise on French-speaking talents, increase student mobility from Singapore to France, build ties, create a sustainable connection between these talents and Singapore-based companies; these are the objectives of the French Innovative and Vibrant Experience or FIVE.

With the strong support and in the presence the Ambassador, Mr. Benjamin Dubertret, the Science Attaché of the Institut français de Singapour, Dr. Pascal Loubière, presented the FIVE programme to numerous companies during a reception held at the French Residence on 23 April 2014.

The FIVE programme meets the requirements of companies through the:

• Recruitment of local young talents who are operational from the start, familiar with the French language and managerial culture

• Training (in the form of studies or an internship) of potential future employees to address the company’s recruitment needs in Singapore, thanks to a service package totally managed by the Institut français de Singapour

Many students and companies welcome this initiative, launched in 2013 as a result of the fact that the 440 or so students who go to France each year for studies do not have a privileged access to local employment opportunities that their fields of study could open them to.

We would like to thank Thales in particular, for its confidence in and for joining the FIVE programme. We are certain that this will be the beginning of new fruitful collaborations with local talents. “Flexible, simple and practical, FIVE takes care of everything!”.
