Singapore Minister for Culture welcomes French installations at Night Lights
Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, Minister of Information, Communications and the Arts (MICA), walked around the artistic French installations at Night Lights, presented as part of Night Festival during the opening on 24th August: accompanied by Ms Jane Ittogi, Chair of Singapore Art Museum (SAM), which organised Night Lights, Mr. Tan Boon Hui, director of the SAM, Mrs Laurence Beau, Deputy Chief of Mission at the French Embassy, Mr. Marc Piton, director of the Institut Français Singapour and Mr. Jean-François Danis, cultural and audiovisual attaché, he met up with the French artists, Stéphane Bève and Milosh Luczinsky ("Mimoid II", installation created by Stéphane Bève, Milosh Luczinsky and Philippe Rizotti), Stéphane Masson ("Fish tank at No 8"), Stéphane Blanquet ("Distorted Forest"), Jérôme Donna, and the team from "l’Eclairage Public de la ville de Lyon" ("Children’s dream").
The installations, which also include "Night Watch" from Wokmedia, are placed around SAM and the School of the Arts (SOTA) until 1st September.
Entrance is free, from 7.30pm to 2am on 31 August and 1st September.
