Singaporean Members of Parliament sparred with French and German diplomats on the football pitch

French and German diplomats challenged Singaporean Members of Parliament in a football game. The home team finally won the match in a very good atmosphere. This match was an opportunity to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Elysée Treaty and to underscore the strength of relations between France, Germany and Singapore. The German ambassador Her Excellency Ms Angelika Viets, the French Ambassador His Excellency Mr Olivier Caron and the president of the Football Association of Singapore Mr Zainudin Nordin and The Minister of State Teo Ser Luck graced the occasion with their presence.


The Singaporean team beat the European diplomats 3-1. Nevertheless, French and German did their best in a blistering heat and scored a goal at the end of the game. After a difficult first half, French and German showed that their cooperation could rise any challenge! German, French and Singaporeans really enjoyed participating to this unique sportive event.
