Successful global launch for the Investors’ Month in Singapore
The Embassy of France in Singapore organized on Tuesday, September 15, 2015, in close partnership with the French financial community (AXA, BNP, CACIB, SG, Natixis, Bpifrance), a seminar dedicated to investment in France on the occasion of the visit of Ms. Muriel Pénicaud, CEO of Business France and Ambassador for International Investment. The seminar brought together 70 people, including major investors (STAM, Apollo Fund, CapitaLand) and business leaders committed to Franco-Singaporean relations.
The introductory remarks of the Ambassador of France to Singapore recapped, first of all, the importance of Singaporean investment in France as well as the main focal points of French economic policy. Richard Iley, Chief economist of BNP Paribas for emerging countries, made a presentation illustrating the return of a durable and sustainable growth in Europe and in France. Muriel Pénicaud placed particular emphasis on human resource, productivity and labor costs issues, which top the list of concerns of potential investors. Finally, Ms. Lee Suet Fern, a renowned lawyer in Singapore, shared her experience as a member of the board of two CAC 40 companies (Sanofi and AXA).
