The fifth edition of France Singapore Innovation Days
The fifth edition of France Singapore Innovation Days, the annual French forum on digital innovation in Singapore, took place from 10 to 14 November, based on a theme which is significant to the Singaporean government : improvement in productivity, especially in medium-sized enterprises.
The improvement in productivity is a challenge at all levels of enterprise in Singapore, as in France : in external relations with clients, suppliers and partners and internally in the management of human resources, so as to mobilise talents and group the teams. Productivity also results increasingly from a continual process of digital transformation which necessitates the deployment of complete solutions accompagnied by new processes as well as training and employees in these new uses and work methodologies. It is based upon this concept that this day of conference greeted 180 managers of companies, primarily those in the functions of technical direction, finance and human resource with 3 panels of experts : productivity and digital transformation in the public sector, productivity in client and partner relations (solutions and process), productivity in internal relations of the company – the working world with a 2020 horizon (training, methodology and new uses). Among the experts in the panels are ST Electronics, Dassault Systèmes, SingPost, DBS and Facebook, whose experiences with digital innovation increased productivity in their respective functions. in response to challenges and trends discussed during these panels, 14 French companies presented their technological solutions addressing the diverse problems linked with productivity : going paperless, lastest generation of ERP, open source software, supply chain management, interactive video, advice on smart technology…These presentations generated much interest among the Singaporean buyers and are followed by B2B programmes to discuss in more detail the needs of Singaporean companies and the managament of such projects.
Each year, the France Singapore Innovation Days is supported by the government and major public agencies and professional Singaporean bodies : EDB, IDA, SBF, SPA (Singapore Productivity Association), SITF, A-Star and eGL/NUS were present and sometimes even took part.
The Ambassador also hosted a closing reception for the conference at the Residence to thank the various parties, sponsors, public agencies and participating companies for their support for the event.
